Honoring Linda Truschke (Women in Ministry Conference); Open Conversation on Faith & Immigration; Summer in Stauffer Continues (UCC Family News, 6-25-18)

The UCC mission group team with MITS friends in Mathare Valley (Nairobi, Kenya). The team returned home safely on Saturday evening and looks forward to sharing a full report in the future!

Honoring Linda Truschke (Women in Ministry Conference)
Pepperdine is hosting a Women in Ministry Conference today through Wednesday (June 25-27), and on Tuesday morning (June 26) at 8:30am our own Linda Truschke will be honored for her twenty years of ministry with a breakfast reception on the Sandbar Patio!  Following the breakfast, there is an open worship session at the Amphitheater beginning at 9:30am that will feature a sermon by Nadia Bolz-Weber.  All are invited.

Open Conversation on Faith & Immigration
Anyone interested in engaging in respectful dialogue from a faith perspective about the national controversy surrounding immigration is invited to come to the church office at 7pm on Tuesday night.

Summer in Stauffer Continues
Summer in Stauffer continues this Sunday. Bible classes at 9am and worship at 10:15am. This week’s sermon is about Gideon from Judges 6-8 and is titled, “A Turning Point.”
