Hello, Church Family!
“Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
We are called to forgive.

- August 7: Taste of Kenya “Thank You” Lunch
Farewell for Helen Holmlund — On Wednesday evening, July 27, the church community is invited to the home of John and Claudette Wilson for hamburgers and hot dogs at 6:00 p.m. to wish Helen well as she leaves us to pursue her PhD. Helen has invested herself in our church body while working in the SURB program for summers and for the last full year as an assistant lab associate. If you would like to bring a side dish or a dessert to fill out the menu, that would be appreciated.
UCC Adult Bible Class — This Sunday (July 24), the adult Bible class will be taught by Nathan Guy from Harding University. The class is entitled “How the Gospel Changes Everything.” The class will meet in AC 286 at 9:00 a.m. Please join us!
Sermon Transcripts — Thanks to the new Captioning Services technology, sermon transcripts will now regularly be uploaded to our church website under “Sermon Downloads” alongside the recordings. Click here to go straight there!
Captioning Services — In an effort to better include members and guests with hearing difficulties, the University Church of Christ will be testing a captioning service during the month of July. The captioning can be viewed on any electronic device with access to the Internet.
To access captions for our worship service, simply email email@example.com and you will immediately be sent back a link. Click the link during worship and read along. The link can be bookmarked for use in future services.
In addition to providing access to members during the service, captioning will also allow others such as shut-ins, missionaries, and vacationers to follow the service in real time at any location.
Please take advantage of this service in July and send your feedback to the elders in consideration of making this a permanent feature.
