Where We Are One:
The New Reality of the Kingdom of God – The Adversarial Kingdom

This week’s message by Eric Wilson will be from the text of Matt 12:22-29.

Prayers for Ruth Levai
Our hearts go out to the Dowdeys, as their daughter, Ruth, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor about 2 cm in her right frontal lobe. They are requesting prayers for a successful operation with no subsequent complications.  They are meeting a surgeon on Monday that they are hopeful will perform the surgery. Our prayers and love are with you.

Lildra Rowland Passes
Our hearts are saddened at the news that Lildra Rowland passed away on September 29. Lildra and Rick Rowland were members of UCC years ago and responsible for beginning the Campus Ministry here. They have been extremely committed to the ministry of college age students all across the nation and have been the foundation of many ministries. Our hearts go out to the family in the passing of dear Lildra.

Gluten Free Communion Bread Options
You will notice that our communion trays will have two types of bread in them soon. The gluten free wafers will be separated, and in a little cupcake holder in the plate. Please give us your feedback as we strive to make our communion time inclusive of everyone.

A New Year – Updates!
It is our prayer that our church will be a “home away from home” for students, where they can find belonging, purpose, and most of all, a deeper relationship with Jesus.

We have re-envisioned some of our ministries/worship times to help in that process. A detailed update is forthcoming, but some highlights of our plans include:
*Sunday morning will include new banners to let passerby’s know we are on campus, students helping in the welcoming process, a continuation of the e-bulletin, and more.
*Teller will be speaking at the Well regularly on the theme “Get Real.”
*House Groups will be changing to “Life Groups” with curriculum that is based off of the “Get Real” teaching. Life Groups can be hosted anywhere and at anytime (thus the change from “House” group) and do not necessarily include food.
*Our Sunday evening worship is being moved to Saturday evening and will be in a “House Church” format. This service will still have Taylor/Well Collective leading music, but will be hosted by Gary and Tracey Hanson (dedicated attenders of our Sunday evening worship last year). We are excited for this opportunity to reach our students in a different setting. The House Church will begin on September 7!
*University Church Office Hours are 9am-10pm Monday through Friday. While students use this space continually to study and hang out, ALL are welcome to come enjoy our comfortable and fun hangout space.

Please be prayerful over these ways that we are working to draw our students into community that produces transformational relationships with Jesus.
