Angela Maiorca was baptized by her mom and dad at Patty Atkisson’s house last Sunday! We are so proud of Angela and celebrate her faith decision alongside her wonderful family.
Fall Semester Adult Bible Class (August 26 – December 16)
In what way is the Bible a guide for the church in its organization, worship, and mission? The authority of Scripture is a core tenet of our faith heritage, and since the members of UCC represent a wide array of backgrounds and approaches to Bible study, it is critical for us to better understand one another as we collectively approach God’s Word for guidance both now and in the future. The elders have requested that the adult education program focus on this sole topic for the fall semester, and all college student and resident adult members of the UCC are encouraged to be a member of this class. To that end, members (and interested non-members) are asked to RSVP and commit to the class, which will include (i) praying for the class; (ii) attending the class; and (iii) maintaining a weekly journal about the class. There will be an introductory class in Fireside Room at 9am on August 26, but subsequent classes will be in Payson Library (Kresge Reading Room) beginning on September 2. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
